Gauteng dam levels are stable this week as the province’s temperatures are expected to gradually rise from freezing conditions.
The dam levels currently sit comfortably at 96.8% this week, and this indicates a slight improvement compared to the same time last year when the levels stood at 99.5%.
Almost all the dams in the province are in a good state as some are floating above 100% full capacity mark, while others are edging close to these impressive levels.
Bon Accord Dam has this week recorded 105.1%, defying the effects of winter season whereby dams experience shrinking levels. This shows improvement compared to last year at the same period, when the dam was recorded at 104.8%.
