The City of Cape Town’s Roads and Infrastructure Department has begun with the slope stabilization of the embankment along a segment of Kloof Road in Clifton.
The construction work which is envisioned to be completed by 30 June 2021 is one of the many infrastructural projects that the department is spearheading. The city’s Spokesperson, Luthando Tyhalibongo has assured area residents of ease of operations despite traffic being impeded stating that they will be granted local access to their properties as soon as practically possible, while allowing the proposed construction works to continue as intended.
“We ask that all road users cooperate with the workers on site so that we can ensure that the works are completed as efficiently as possible. The project team will keep to the working hours as far as possible, but this may vary from time to time depending on the circumstances on the ground. We thank you in advance for your patience,” said Tyhalibongo.
