The works will be implemented along the following roads:

“Road rehabilitation initiatives are critical to ongoing service delivery, to ensure that residents and goods can move with ease. We have prioritised these roads, given that they are used by many residents on a daily basis, be it on foot or by car. Thus, we want to ensure that the roads are durable and safe for all road users. I want to appeal to our residents to please not dispose of greywater on the roads as that causes potholes and reduces the lifespan of the roads. I also understand that roadworks come with some inconvenience, but I urge residents and motorists to be patient and work with us to ensure that the project runs without any issues. Our contractor will be using machinery that will cause some noise pollution. We also anticipate that traffic will be delayed and encourage road users to use alternative routes during the construction period. Once the project is complete, residents will greatly benefit,” said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Transport, Councillor Rob Quintas.
Road users are also urged to comply with the signage that will be displayed around the construction areas and the flag personnel that will redirect the road users.
