Councillor Rob Quintas, the City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Transport, took his Transport Month visits to Grassy Park to monitor the progress of the non-motorised transport project that is currently under way in the area. The work commenced in September 2021 and is expected to take 15 months to complete.
The contractor is currently working on Klip Road and 2nd Avenue, and work on these two streets is planned to be completed by 17 December 2021, pending unforeseen delays and inclement weather.
‘I am pleased with the work that has been done so far and that the programme is progressing well and on target. Our contractor will be working in the area for over a year and I ask residents to please be patient. Once completed, the new facilities will make it safer for local residents to move around the area and create a friendly environment,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Transport, Councillor Rob Quintas.
